Terms and Conditions for Private Tuition with Confidence 121

Fees

Lessons will be charged at a rate of $121 for 60 minutes,or pro rata payable monthly in advance.

Tuition

Tuition is specifically tailored to the student, addressing their current needs. It takes into account the difficulties that the student has and focuses on addressing their understanding and making connections. It may be necessary to go over work that has been covered previously in earlier years but has not been fully understood. To avoid any misunderstanding, the purpose of tuition is not to help with homework,  just to help get through the next test or solely reinforce the school curriculum..

Weekly tuition takes place during the school terms (following the NSW public school term dates) and full attendance is expected. If a student misses two or more sessions during a term, then Confidence 121 has the right to offer the place to another student on the waiting list. Holiday sessions are available through a calendar booking system.

Cancellations

To cancel or change a session, please contact your tutor, preferably by email and alternatively, via text message.

Any lessons cancelled by the Student (or the Students Parent or Guardian) with less than 48 hours notice will result in payment of the full amount of the session unless the Tutor decides otherwise because of exceptional circumstances. 

If the Tutor is obliged to cancel a lesson, the lesson will be rearranged for a time that is mutually convenient for both the Student and Tutor where possible.

Arriving late

It is your, and your child’s, responsibility to be punctual for their session. This includes, for online sessions, ensuring equipment is charged and working and the software updated.

Payment

All invoices are issued monthly in advanced, unless otherwise specified. No tuition sessions will be given unless full payment has been made at least 48 hours before the first session of the month. If the beginning or end of the term is just one week into another month, this session will be included on the previous month’s invoice.

Termination of Lessons

Lessons are expected to continue until a mutually agreed termination date (usually the end of a term), is given. Both the Tutor and the Student (or the Students Parent or Guardian) reserve the right to terminate lessons should they no longer be considered beneficial to the Student.

Complaints

If a student or parent/guardian has a complaint against a tutor or Confidence 121, please email directly to catherinerooke@confidence121.com with the details. 

Limitation of Liability

While the Tutor will endeavour to ensure the Student makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed, and the Tutor cannot be held accountable for the academic success or otherwise of the Student.
